How to count days between dates
- Choose the start date. It starts at today.
- Choose the end date. The answer updates as soon as you change either date.
- Tick "Include the end date" if both the first and the last day should count, such as for a hotel stay quoted in days rather than nights.
Going backwards works too: put the later date first and you get the same number of days.

Questions
- How do I count the days between two dates?
- Pick a start date and an end date. The calculator subtracts them and shows the number of days, plus the same span in weeks, months and weekdays.
- Does the count include the end date?
- By default the end date is not counted, the same way you would count nights or the days until a deadline. Tick "Include the end date" to add one day, for example when counting days worked.
- How are weekdays counted?
- Weekdays are Monday to Friday after the start date, up to and including the end date. Use the business days calculator to also skip public holidays.
- Does it handle leap years?
- Yes. Every calendar day is counted exactly, including February 29 in leap years.
